Car Window Cleaning
Having clean windows these days make your car look so much better. I would recommend people washing
their vehicles to spend just a couple more minutes on cleaning the windows. I know it maybe time consuming, but dirty windows can become a safety
problem, especially in the fog or haze. Also, if you have spent all that time washing and waxing your vehicle, dirty windows will not make the
job completely done. Your vehicle will not look washed because of the windows, so don't be lazy and just clean the windows. Here are a few tips
to make the job easier when cleaning your car windows.
Since there are a lot of products available for cleaning windows, it tends to make life a lot easier for
everyone. No matter what product you choose, just remember to clean, dry and then polish those windows to give the vehicle the perfect
touch.
Among the glass cleaners there are products that contain ammonia in them and some people like using
ammonia. I would not suggest using ammonia on your glass windows because it can be harmful to some surfaces. However, you can use alcohol or
citric acid as an alternative cleaner. Other people like to just use water without any chemicals on their windows. Everyone is different so
find out what really works for you and what gives you satisfying results.
Glass cleaners come in varieties and can be found in spray bottles along with many other forms. Spray bottles are good
to use in my opinion, but you can sometimes spray more of the area than you actually wanted to, leaving a bigger mess. You want to be
careful when using a spray bottle to make sure you wipe away the cleaner with a towel immediately.
Another great tip when cleaning your car windows is to use newspaper to dry them. Using the newspaper
leaves no streaks and makes the window look perfectly clean. Although, newspaper is great to use, it can get messy leaving the newspaper print on
your hands, so just remember wash your hands after using the newspaper.
Instructions For Cleaning Your Car Windows
Clean your windows, starting from the front and then working your way to the back. Some people clean the
front driver's side window first before the front passenger's side window. It is completely up to you as long as you work from the front to the
back of the vehicle. Next, you want to lower your glass about an inch, so you can clean the top of the glass before putting the window back up to
clean the bottom of the glass.
When cleaning the car window, apply the glass cleaner and then buff dry immediately to leave no streaks
behind. Also, pay real attention to the corner of the windows because that is where most of the streaks and smears appear. Clean both the inside
and outside of the windows, so that one side is not the only side that is clean.
When you are inside your vehicle clean the windshield and when you are outside of your vehicle don't
forget to clean the side mirrors. After cleaning all the windows, leave the back window for last because it is the most difficult to
reach.
For cleaning tinted windows only use water on the inside where the tint has been placed. Do not apply
any cleaning products to the tint.
